This dog bell is the best!

Posted by Catherine OLeary on 8th Dec 2021

I purchased a dog collar bell, with bright orange, for a friend’s dog for Christmas. She loves to hike and take the dog so I’m excited to give it to her. And the tone of this beautiful bell is the best!

The bell is beautiful and I love it. I'm just nervous that it might be too loud for the dog I bought it for.

I got some of these for my goats, they work great for keeping track of them in the dark. Not to load but load enough

    Dog Bells

Posted by Susan on 13th Oct 2020

We bought this bell and a larger one for our two dogs and love the sweet, jingly sounds they make--loud enough to hear and keep track of the dogs on our walks through fields and woods, but pleasant up close. It's nice to have the slightly different pitches for the two dogs so we can tell which dog is where. And they seem to enjoy the bells, too!

#1 is a great bell for puppy

Posted by David Kula on 16th Sep 2020

I bought a #1 bell with the closed leather loop for my pointer puppy. She is 10 weeks old and the #1 is the right size. The quality is very high. It's too much for inside the house, but I put it on her collar when playing in the yard to get her accustomed to wearing a bell. Nice sound and not too loud. Helps us stay aware of where she is in the yard when off leash. I think this size is not loud enough to hear very far in thick cover, but that's not what I bought it for. Will buy a bigger bell from NE Bells when she's ready to hunt next season.

Great bells, don't love the attachment loops

Posted by Bert on 19th May 2020

The bells are great, the snap on rubber and leather loops that attach to the collar are bulky and heavy for a smaller dog. I wish they could make a bell that had a clip built into it like the round clip on collar lights you can get. I think I'm gonna remove the loops and either use a key chain loop or a small clip if I can find one to attach the bell to my pups collar loop. We go for long bike rides and saving weight is big for my dog.

    Bear Bell for Dog collar

The brass bell is very nice but the casting is too thick and bell ring is almost nonexistent. Would do better with a tin bell (like a sleigh bell) that makes an audible ring.

    Ok

#1 dog collar bell is a high quality bell. The orange strap seems durable. The snap closure on the strap isn’t snug enough for me to trust it for my use (6 month old 35 # dog playing in the yard with another 35# dog). Very light pressure unhooks it. I took the orange strap off (Remove a pin and it slides off) and put a standard split key ring on the bell. When I want the bell on the dog I unhook the dog’s collar, run it through the split ring and reattach it on the dog.
